Inspection Engineer – Gas Turbine Quality Inspection

About the role

The Inspection Engineer will ensure that gas turbine components meet safety, quality, reliability and regulatory standards throughout the repair process. Working on the shop floor, you will conduct incoming, in‑process and final inspections, document findings and support continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming and final inspections of gas turbine parts to identify non‑conformances.
• Measure and evaluate components using calipers, dial indicators and other precision tools.
• Interpret applicable codes, standards and specifications.
• Prepare technical reports describing defects and corrective actions.
• Follow GEMTEC policies and promote EHS, quality and compliance on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Technical diploma with relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of EHS and quality requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, work instructions and QMS procedures.
• Proficiency in English and MS Office applications.

Required skills

• Use of measuring instruments such as calipers and dial indicators.
• Technical report writing.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and REIs.
• Basic SAP usage (preferred).
