Lead Estimator

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Lead Estimator to drive the creation of accurate cost estimates for complex construction projects across civil, infrastructure, and specialist works. You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to translate project designs into reliable budgetary data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed conceptual, preliminary, budgetary, and definitive cost estimates.
• Review project scope, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and BIM models to define estimating requirements.
• Develop quantity take‑offs, cost breakdown structures, unit rates, and productivity data.
• Analyze market rates, supplier quotations, and subcontractor proposals.
• Validate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and temporary works.
• Identify gaps, omissions, and scope overlaps in tender documents.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines to resolve design uncertainties.
• Support value engineering studies and assess cost impacts of design changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in construction or civil engineering projects.
• Proven ability to lead estimating teams and manage large‑scale tender packages.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities across multidisciplinary teams.
