About the role

Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah, a 5-star hotel near Al Masjid Al Nabawi, is looking for a Lobby Butler for Saudi nationals. The role welcomes, assists and sees off guests with warmth and professionalism, anticipating their needs and providing personalized luxury service throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome, assist and see off guests with warmth and professionalism
• Anticipate guests' needs and preferences, and provide personalized luxury service during the stay
• Handle guest requests and special arrangements discreetly, and assist VIP guests and organize special occasions
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and other departments
• Provide information on hotel facilities, services and local attractions
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure prompt resolution
• Maintain high standards of grooming, etiquette, confidentiality and luxury hospitality

Required profile

• Minimum 0-2 years of experience as a butler or in a similar role in luxury hospitality
• Proven supervisory experience managing a team of service professionals
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
• Fluency in English and either Turkish or French; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times

Required skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, time management and multitasking
• In-depth knowledge of etiquette, protocol and luxury service standards
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern customs and etiquette is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in household management software and the MS Office suite
• Professional butler certification is a plus
