Mechanical Asset Inspection Specialist

About the role

The Specialist, Mechanical Asset Inspection will work closely with authorized inspection contractors to deliver comprehensive inspection services and certifications for mechanical equipment at International Maritime Industries’ Ras Al Khair facility. The role ensures that all assets meet industry standards, operate safely, and any potential issues are identified early.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with mechanical inspection contractors, interpret inspection reports, and address discrepancies to secure approval of inspection results.
• Plan, execute and monitor field mechanical inspections and periodic certification schedules, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety protocols.
• Develop and track KPIs for asset inspection, reviewing equipment performance against preventive‑maintenance and inspection programs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to schedule inspections, manage budgets, and maintain safety standards throughout the process.
• Provide feedback to the Asset Inspection Manager, recommend corrective actions, and ensure proper housekeeping after each inspection event.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 6‑9 years of experience in mechanical inspection, asset fitness certification, or related field.
• Professional certification in at least one API standard (API‑510 or API‑570); CSWIP 3.1 or CWI/AWS is a plus.
