Mechatronics & Automation Engineer

About the role

Alfanar Precast is looking for a Mechatronics & Automation Engineer in Riyadh. The role designs, develops, integrates and validates advanced mechatronic, robotic and automated systems, including construction automation solutions, in a multidisciplinary R&D environment. It covers mechanical, electrical, electronic, embedded systems, control systems and software engineering, from requirements and design through prototyping, testing, commissioning and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Translate operational requirements into technical specifications and system architectures, integrating mechanical, electrical, electronic, embedded, control and software subsystems.
• Develop mechanical concepts, prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings and bills of materials, and coordinate with fabrication and assembly teams.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control-panel layouts, calculate electrical loads and write and troubleshoot PLC programs, control sequences, interlocks and alarms.
• Program, configure and calibrate industrial and collaborative robots, and integrate embedded firmware, circuits, hardware interfaces and PCB systems.
• Select and calibrate sensors and instrumentation, and integrate HMI/GUI applications, APIs, data logging and automated controls.
• Evaluate suppliers and components, and assemble, test and commission prototypes and automated systems.
• Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, test records and BOMs, and prepare operating instructions and maintenance procedures.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams, comply with quality standards and HSE requirements, and continuously improve engineering processes.
