Pastry Chef – Hotel Food & Beverage Team

About the role

We are seeking a skilled, creative, and passionate Pastry Chef to join our Food & Beverage team at the First Vignette Collection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and other bakery items while maintaining excellent standards of taste, presentation, consistency and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads and bakery products according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Ensure all items are presented attractively, stored correctly and meet food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with daily pastry operations and coordinate with other kitchen sections.
• Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels and equipment condition, reporting any issues promptly.
• Assist with special events, weddings, buffets and hotel functions, and guide junior pastry team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar bakery position, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks during busy service periods.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills are preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pastry, baking, desserts, cakes and bakery production techniques.
• Proficiency with pastry equipment and baking processes.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
