Pre-Sales Smart Grid Consultant

About the role

The Pre‑Sales Smart Grid Consultant will provide technical electrical expertise to design, implement and improve condition‑monitoring strategies for smart‑grid solutions, including overhead power‑line drones, substation, transformer and switchgear monitoring, arc‑flash prediction, cable‑endpoint monitoring and failure prediction. Working closely with the Principal Engineer, the role aims to enhance safety, availability, reliability and cost‑effectiveness of the company’s AIGC offerings from an electrical engineering perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy smart‑grid solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Develop and implement Asset Performance Management (APM) systems for electrical assets, focusing on predictive maintenance and health assessment.
• Create and deliver electrical asset condition‑monitoring solutions.
• Prepare techno‑commercial proposals for smart‑grid projects.
• Monitor and analyse performance data from client systems to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to develop action plans that improve safety, reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of experience in smart‑grid design, implementation and medium/high‑voltage system operations.
• Strong knowledge of AI and digital technologies applied to asset performance management, condition monitoring, load forecasting and failure prediction.
• Proven ability to conduct technical investigations, fault‑finding, testing and problem‑solving for electrical systems.
• Experience preparing techno‑commercial proposals for smart‑grid solutions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
