Process Technician (Senior Process Operator)

About the role

The Process Technician operates, monitors and maintains process equipment and systems so that goods or services are produced efficiently and consistently. The role works closely with the production team to keep processes stable, optimise performance and resolve process issues. It is a full-time position based in Riyadh.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment, instrumentation and control systems such as reactors, distillation columns, filtration units and packaging lines.
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments and minor maintenance to keep equipment running optimally.
• Collect and analyse process data (temperature, pressure, flow rates, product quality) to spot trends and problems.
• Apply process control strategies and adjust setpoints and flows to maintain product quality and stability.
• Troubleshoot upsets, equipment failures and quality deviations and take corrective action.
• Document process activities, log operational data and keep records of changes, maintenance and quality control.
• Help develop process improvement initiatives, evaluate new technologies and equipment, and train less experienced technicians.
• Work with production, maintenance and quality assurance teams and comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certificate in Process Technology, Chemical Technology or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience as a process technician or in a similar operations role, preferably in manufacturing or production.
• Strong understanding of process control, instrumentation and automation.
• Ability to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs and other technical drawings.
• Problem-solving, attention to detail, record-keeping and communication skills.
