Project Engineer I

About the role

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer I to plan, coordinate and execute technical projects for mining system deployments, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project plans, manage resources and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with Project Managers to deliver complex mining solutions on schedule and within budget.
• Support and maintain software, deliver bespoke customisations and troubleshoot system issues.
• Own and implement customer system configurations using scripting tools.
• Participate in onsite system installation and integration efforts.
• Escalate critical technical issues to appropriate Mining Services or support teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge of current and upcoming product offerings.
• Provide regular status reports and communicate risks or issues to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the sales team in pre‑sales activities and represent Hexagon professionally at customer sites.

Required profile

• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining systems and their deployment.
• Proven problem‑solving, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to act as an escalation point for technical issues and work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional, courteous demeanor with a focus on health and safety compliance.
