Salesforce Technical Architect

About the role

Horizontal Digital, a digital consultancy, is looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect based in Saudi Arabia to lead the technical design of a large-scale, integration-heavy Salesforce programme for a major enterprise client. The role is hands-on and player/coach: you will own the architecture across the Salesforce ecosystem and connected systems, guide development teams and explain solution choices in Arabic and English.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, Data Cloud and industry-specific clouds
• Turn business requirements into scalable technical solutions with stakeholders and functional leads
• Evaluate and design integration patterns using APIs, middleware and event-driven approaches
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture standards for scalability, security and performance
• Guide development teams through design reviews and code quality oversight
• Define API standards and data models, including canonical models
• Support pre-sales with solutioning, effort estimation and architecture advice
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as ERDs, sequence diagrams, data mappings and architecture blueprints

Required profile

• 8+ years of client-facing consulting experience focused on Salesforce architecture and solution design
• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft; Marketing Cloud good to have)
• Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Riyadh or Jeddah
• Experience in cross-functional teams, system documentation and scalable integration patterns
• Salesforce certifications: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce and at least one Architect domain certification
• Nice to have: previous delivery experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform limits, security model, deployment architecture and performance
• Integration with RESTful APIs, middleware and batch and real-time interfaces
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce release strategies
• Nice to have: Kafka / Confluent, data transformation from nested JSON and EDIFACT, Data Cloud, Field Service or Revenue Cloud
