Senior Account Executive, Public Sector - Splunk

About the role

Splunk, a Cisco company, is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join its regional sales team focused on the Saudi Arabia market, with a primary focus on large public sector accounts. The team helps large organizations adopt enterprise data management software covering IT systems, infrastructure, application management, security and analytics. You will work closely with sales engineering, in-house Splunk teams, partner services, alliances and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Drive license sales, support and service revenue across large public sector accounts in Saudi Arabia.
• Build account plans and manage opportunities to increase account penetration and customer value.
• Negotiate pricing and business terms with large enterprises by demonstrating value and return on investment.
• Collaborate with partners, alliances, sales engineering and internal teams to maximize deal effectiveness and size.
• Provide timely market and customer insights to product management, marketing and other corporate functions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience with large public sector accounts in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience selling software in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security and/or analytics.
• Track record of success with prospects and customers in a defined territory.
• Experience applying a structured sales methodology and sales process.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Preferred: strong executive presence, ability to forecast accurately, strong written, presentation and relationship-building skills, comfort working independently and remotely.
