Senior Planning Engineer - Gas Plant Projects

About the role

Met T&S, the employment company of MAIRE group, is recruiting a Senior Planning Engineer for a 60-12 rotation contract based in Jubail II, Saudi Arabia. The role executes, manages and supervises planning and reporting activities on projects of any size and complexity under the Project Control Manager's supervision, overseeing the Planning team's daily work.

Key responsibilities

• Guide planning engineers in setting up project control tools and lead the preparation of planning procedures (WBS, schedules, progress measurement).
• Prepare project control documents such as milestones plan, 90-day schedule, WBS, top-down and project control schedules, progress curves, manpower histograms and reports.
• Review and issue planning reports, develop schedule narratives and track deviations from baseline.
• Perform periodic schedule control, assess physical progress, forecast completion and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor man-hour expenditure and productivity, and identify and analyse schedule deviations.
• Guide subcontractors in finalising contractual schedules and milestones, and support schedule risk analysis.
• Interact with the client's planning representative, clients and vendors, and assist the Contract Management team in delay and schedule impact analysis.
• Manage planning activities independently for small EPC projects and collect data at project close-out.
• Train and support junior planning and reporting engineers.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in civil discipline or equivalent.
• Significant experience in industrial construction of large or XL gas plants, covering at least 2-3 comparable projects.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience (essential).
• Experience working on the top-tier contractor side (essential).
