Senior Purchasing Specialist

About the role

Matarathol is hiring a Senior Purchasing Specialist in Dammam. The role handles and optimizes the procurement process: issuing and amending purchase orders, sourcing reputable suppliers and overseeing contract execution in line with organizational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate purchase orders so deliveries match contract terms, and monitor delivery schedules and quality
• Ensure purchase requests meet requirements and are approved by stakeholders according to the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
• Sourcing suppliers and vendors for tactical purchases and keeping an up-to-date supplier database
• Oversee release of purchase orders against contracts and coordinate with suppliers on order details and delivery schedules
• Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders, manage invoices and ensure compliance with company policies
• Review supplier change requests, variations and penalties, applying financial deductions per DOA
• Create purchase orders, reconcile dates and quantities with approved quotations, handle amendments and forward them to suppliers after approval
• Validate contract requisitions and monitor contract performance, resolving issues and maintaining supplier relationships
• Work with internal stakeholders, recommend process improvements and stay aware of procurement and supply chain trends
• Create and analyze reports on purchase order status, supplier performance and contract compliance, and document procurement processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or equivalent
• 3 to 4 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in a corporate or industrial environment
• Preferred: Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
• Arabic and English
