Systems Integration Manager - Rail

About the role

Egis is looking for a Systems Integration Manager to lead and oversee the integration of all railway systems, including infrastructure, stations and operational interfaces, for a major railway project. The role ensures seamless coordination across systems and disciplines so that the railway is safe, efficient, reliable and operationally ready.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Systems Integration Management Plan and integration strategy
• Lead coordination of signalling, communications, traction power, SCADA, OCC, rolling stock, platform and depot systems and their infrastructure
• Manage interfaces between rail systems, civil infrastructure, stations, depots and operational environments, and maintain system interface registers
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure consistent system design outputs across all project stages
• Integrate infrastructure, stations and operational systems with external interfaces such as airport-related systems where applicable
• Work with operational stakeholders, authorities, operators, contractors and specialist system providers
• Run integration workshops, technical coordination meetings and interface resolution sessions
• Support systems engineering, requirements management, interface management, verification, validation and traceability, and coordinate with Configuration and Requirements Management teams
• Identify and mitigate integration risks and interface conflicts, and lead integration reviews
• Monitor integration progress and support testing and commissioning (FAT, SAT, SIT, trial operations) and operational readiness
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, railway standards, safety requirements and operational objectives, and support construction and delivery teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from a recognised university
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in rail projects and/or rail operations (GCC or international experience preferred)
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and complex system interfaces on major infrastructure projects
• Experience coordinating with authorities, operators, contractors and stakeholders
• Knowledge of design development stages, integration processes and tender documentation requirements

Required skills

• Understanding of railway systems: signalling, communications, traction power, OCC, SCADA, rolling stock and depot systems
• Experience with systems engineering processes, interface management and integration assurance
• Understanding of testing and commissioning and operational readiness activities
• Leadership, stakeholder management, communication and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
