Technical Sales Specialist - Industrial Services

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is looking for a commercially driven Technical Sales Specialist to join its Industrial Services team in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. The role drives business development and customer engagement for industrial services such as third-party inspection (TPI) and non-destructive testing (NDT), working with customers in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities and related industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for industrial inspection, testing and related technical services.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities and industrial sectors.
• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal technical teams to provide suitable service solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, respond to enquiries and give commercial and technical clarifications.
• Maintain regular customer engagement to strengthen existing business, improve coverage and secure repeat orders.
• Develop new accounts and expand SGS's presence in the Eastern Region.
• Work towards assigned sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
• Coordinate with the Sales Manager on complex proposals and gradually manage opportunities independently.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales or business development, preferably in testing, inspection, certification or industrial services.
• Good understanding of the Saudi industrial market, especially the Eastern Region.
• Exposure to Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities, NDT or third-party inspection is highly preferred.
• Must be based in Saudi Arabia, preferably in the Eastern Region, with a valid Saudi driving licence and willingness to travel for customer visits.
