Commercial Manager - Maintenance Subcontracts

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Commercial Manager in Jubail. The role manages all activities needed to secure contracts for maintenance activities and deliver them through the Maintenance Department, from developing scopes of work to contract close-out.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scopes of work, evaluation criteria, contracting strategies and preliminary cost estimates for maintenance during normal operations, shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Manage the full tendering and procurement process, including bidder selection, instructions to bidders, clarifications, commercial evaluation, negotiations, award recommendations and contract finalization.
• Lead contract administration and commercial management, including cost control, budget monitoring, payment verification, variations, change orders, claims and contractual risk mitigation.
• Manage and coordinate contractors and subcontractors, from mobilization and performance monitoring to KPI evaluation, corrective actions and contract close-out.
• Ensure maintenance contracts comply with HSSEQ, QA/QC, technical, commercial and company governance requirements, keeping proper documentation and audit trails.
• Provide commercial leadership and coordinate with Maintenance, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance, HSSEQ, QA/QC and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in contracting, with strong experience in oil and gas/refinery maintenance.
• Proven experience in maintenance contracting, subcontractor management and procurement.
• Fluent in writing and reading English.
• Leadership skills in large organizations, strategic thinking, good judgment under pressure and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of the SAP system.
• Strong understanding of bidding processes, contract administration, cost and budget control.
• Technical understanding of maintenance execution, contractor/subcontractor management and people management.
