Accountant

About the role

The company, a leader in operations, maintenance and marketing, is looking for an Accountant to support daily accounting activities, ensure accurate financial reporting and aid strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage daily accounting operations and record financial entries.
• Prepare, organize and follow up on payment documents according to approved procedures.
• Monitor revenue collection, documentation and analysis.
• Prepare journal entries and record transactions in the accounting system.
• Reconcile bank accounts and make necessary adjustments.
• Produce periodic financial reports and analyse statements (income statement, balance sheet, trial balance).
• Support monthly and annual closing processes.
• Review invoices and payment requests for accuracy.
• Assist with Zakat, tax compliance and e‑invoicing requirements.
• Analyse financial variances and suggest performance improvements.
• Participate in internal and external audit activities.
• Track operational and capital expenditures against approved budgets.
• Coordinate with other departments to follow up on receivables and outstanding balances.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong command of English.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP accounting systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to prepare formal reports and correspondence.
