Accounts Receivable Team Leader

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Team Leader will oversee the AR function, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and effective credit management. This role combines people leadership with hands‑on financial control to support cash‑flow stability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and evaluate the Accounts Receivable team, allocating workload and monitoring productivity against KPIs.
• Oversee the full invoicing cycle, guaranteeing accuracy and on‑time issuance.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, develop collection strategies, and resolve escalated customer disputes.
• Review and approve credit limits and payment terms in line with company policy.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and corporate policies.
• Prepare and analyse AR aging reports, reconcile accounts and report variances.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to receivables.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service and Finance teams to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Provide regular performance and cash‑flow updates to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or accounts receivable, including exposure to AR processes, financial controls and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to lead a team, deliver performance feedback and drive results.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for accounts receivable management.
