Area Manager

About the role

The Area Manager will oversee daily operations of multiple retail stores within a defined geographic region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a team of store managers, drive sales performance, and ensure consistent brand standards across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage store performance, develop business plans, and set sales and profit targets.
• Conduct territory and sales analyses, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Coordinate brand‑specific marketing and promotional activities.
• Implement loss‑prevention policies and monitor shrinkage.
• Ensure high‑quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Visit stores regularly to verify operations, pricing, and merchandising.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors and product launches.
• Oversee financial management, including manpower costs and budget adherence.
• Lead opening of new stores and closure of under‑performing locations.
• Handle manpower planning, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
• Train, motivate, and guide store managers to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of relevant retail experience, with at least 3 years in an area‑manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven ability in financial and operational planning.
• Strong understanding of store‑operation optimization and performance standards.
