Assistant Community Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Community Manager at Hawthorne Residential Partners, you will support the day‑to‑day operations of award‑winning multifamily communities. Working closely with the Community Manager, you will help ensure smooth leasing, resident relations, and financial processes while fostering a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct property tours, respond to leads, and guide prospects through the leasing process.
• Prepare and process lease applications, renewals, and related documentation accurately and on time.
• Create and manage social‑media content to promote resident events and community engagement.
• Oversee rent collection, payment posting, and monitor delinquencies, including follow‑up calls and eviction coordination.
• Perform regular ledger reviews and assist with financial reporting for regional leadership.
• Step in for the Community Manager when absent, maintaining team momentum and operational continuity.
• Support a positive work environment through clear communication, goal‑setting, and task prioritization.
• Address resident concerns promptly, de‑escalating issues with professionalism and empathy.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of property‑management experience preferred; six months as an assistant community manager preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) accreditation is a plus.
