Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of financial records, support strategic decision‑making and oversee a team of accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and cash flow management.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements, reports and reconciliations to guarantee accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor budgets, expenses and overall financial performance, providing insights to management.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes and liaise with auditors.
• Review accounting transactions for completeness and correctness.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or chief accountant role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership capabilities.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
