About the role
We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to manage budgeting, cost monitoring and variance analysis for high‑pressure shutdown and turnaround projects in the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed shutdown budgets (WBS/CBS) covering scope, labour, materials and equipment.
- Capture and track actual costs incurred during shutdowns, including material consumption, manpower and subcontractor work.
- Perform variance analysis, identify discrepancies between planned and actual costs and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage change orders, subcontractor claims and cost variations, ensuring approvals within the commercial framework.
- Prepare regular cost control reports such as daily/weekly cost updates, cash‑flow forecasts and final closing reports with lessons learned.
- Review subcontractor and supplier invoices and payment certificates for accuracy.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in costing, budgeting and cost monitoring for shutdown/turnaround projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/BTech – Mechanical).
