Cybersecurity Governance Officer – Senior Specialist

About the role

The Cybersecurity Governance Officer will lead the development and maintenance of the organisation's cybersecurity governance framework. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures alignment with ECC‑2024 controls and National Cybersecurity Authority requirements while fostering a strong security culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the cybersecurity governance framework.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with ECC‑2024, ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
• Coordinate cybersecurity decisions with executive committees and senior leadership.
• Oversee the creation, approval and rollout of security policies and procedures.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting.
• Lead cybersecurity awareness and training programmes across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, GRC or related fields.
• Professional certifications such as CRISC, CGEIT, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of ECC‑2024, ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
