Diesel Truck Mechanic (Heavy Vehicles)

About the role

The Diesel Truck Mechanic will join a reputable fleet operation in the GCC region, performing inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of heavy‑duty diesel trucks and commercial vehicles. The role demands strong hands‑on mechanical expertise and strict adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, braking, suspension and steering systems on heavy vehicles.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to scheduled plans.
• Inspect engines, gearboxes, axles and driveline components and record all work.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform engine overhauls, fuel‑system repairs and injector servicing.
• Maintain accurate service records, job cards and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with supervisors to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical or a related trade; diesel mechanic certification is a plus.
• 3–6 years of experience as a diesel truck mechanic, preferably on heavy vehicles.
• Prior experience in the GCC region is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and communicate effectively with the team.
