Dry Utilities Engineer – Airfield

About the role

Parsons is looking for an experienced Dry Utilities Engineer to lead the design, installation and quality control of dry utilities on a major airport airfield and runway development project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves supervising on‑site works, coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring compliance with aviation authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site construction of duct banks, cable trenches, manholes, handholes and related civil works.
• Verify that installations follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements and aviation authority requirements.
• Coordinate sequencing, execution and inspections with subcontractors, civil, pavement, wet utilities, MEP and airfield systems teams.
• Witness testing, manage non‑conformances and support corrective actions in line with the project ITP.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, inspection records, technical documentation and assist with as‑built drawings and handover packages.
• Liaise with consultants, authorities and third‑party inspectors for approvals and inspections.
• Ensure all works comply with HSE plans, risk assessments, permit‑to‑work systems and airside safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in dry utilities engineering on large‑scale infrastructure or airport projects.
• Proven ability to manage airfield‑related utilities, including power, lighting, communication and control duct systems.
• Strong knowledge of aviation authority requirements and interface coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
