Experienced Accountant – Odoo ERP & Saudi VAT Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on managing end‑to‑end accounting processes using Odoo ERP and ensuring compliance with Saudi VAT/ZATCA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations in Odoo ERP, including GL, AP, and AR processing.
• Perform high‑volume customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, accounts finalisation, and audit preparation.
• Generate trial balances, financial schedules, and supporting documentation for financial statements.
• Handle VAT transactions, reporting, and tax invoice compliance with ZATCA requirements.
• Produce accounting and financial reports and conduct detailed reconciliation analysis.
• Investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies using advanced Excel techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (minimum 4‑year degree).
• At least 3 years of hands‑on accounting experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Minimum 3 years of proven Odoo ERP experience in accounting/finance.
• IFRS knowledge and certification preferred; SOCPA membership is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Saudi VAT/ZATCA regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
