Financial Accountant – Saudi National (KSA)

About the role

Cundall is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant who is a Saudi national to support the financial operations of its Saudi Arabia entity. The role is essential for maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and contributing to regional financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for review by the Financial Controller.
• Process inter‑company billing and manage regular payments to the group.
• Develop the annual regional budget and perform variance analysis.
• Produce monthly cash‑flow forecasts and manage working capital.
• Generate and post invoices (including Arabic invoices) in Deltek, coordinating with project managers.
• Follow up with clients on invoicing and provide Statements of Account as required.
• Load, verify, and post accounts‑payable invoices and prepare credit‑card reports.
• Maintain the cashbook, perform bank reconciliations, and support payment run preparation.
• Review, approve, and post employee expenses and credit‑card transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing and supplier payments.
• Submit and manage VAT and ZATCA tax filings, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Prepare GOSI reports and liaise with Saudi government portals.
• Support local audits, year‑end reporting, and local content compliance.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in private practice or an international business.
• Strong knowledge of KSA tax regulations (ZATCA), GOSI, and other local government requirements.
• Excellent communication, time‑management, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a professional partnership, engineering, or consulting environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency with Deltek accounting software.
