Financial Control Senior Manager

About the role

The Financial Control Senior Manager will ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for assigned entities, overseeing key accounting processes such as leases, employee benefits, and expected credit loss (ECL) calculations. The role supports compliance with IFRS standards and collaborates closely with auditors to maintain the highest level of financial reporting integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with group timelines.
• Review and approve journal entries for inter‑company transactions, leases, provisions and other general‑ledger items.
• Implement IFRS standards, conduct impact assessments and support audit disclosures.
• Lead the verification of system‑generated data from the ERP and ensure completeness of consolidation packages from subsidiaries.
• Maintain standing data for property leases and manage the full accounting and finance function of the entities.
• Prepare notes for quarterly financial statements and respond to external auditor data requests.
• Analyse variances in ECL calculations and assist in updating accounting policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, audit or related accounting functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical ability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, ACCA, CPA or ACA are preferred.
