Freelance Research Physicist – AI Training Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a freelance research physicist to help train and evaluate AI systems by creating realistic, computationally intensive physics problems. The work is project‑based, remote, and suited to specialists with strong analytical and writing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Design original optics problems that simulate real research workflows.
• Ensure each problem is computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within days or weeks.
• Develop problem sets covering mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical applications from optics and physics.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research, teaching, or related work.
• Experience with numerical simulation methods.
• Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
• Strong written English (C1+).
