Geotechnical Engineer - Design

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer – Design to support its infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The role involves interpreting investigation data, developing engineering assessments and providing technical input for foundations, earthworks and related structures. You will work closely with design teams to ensure safe and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret geotechnical investigation reports, borehole logs, laboratory results and geological information.
• Develop and review calculations, technical reports and design recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slopes and underground utilities.
• Perform analyses on bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, earth pressures, excavation and groundwater conditions.
• Define investigation scopes, including boreholes, CPTs, trial pits and laboratory testing, and assess data adequacy.
• Identify gaps or risks in existing data and propose mitigation measures.
• Review consultant and contractor design packages, drawings and technical submissions.
• Provide geotechnical input for pavement design, ground improvement and earthworks specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in geotechnical engineering and design.
• Proven ability to produce accurate calculations and technical reports.
• Strong analytical skills to assess soil and rock parameters and recommend design solutions.
