About the role

The Head of the Local Real Estate Investment Audit Unit will lead the review and appraisal of the soundness, adequacy, and compliance of the Public Investment Fund’s local real estate investments. This senior position ensures best‑in‑class assurance activities, safeguards the Fund’s interests, and drives operational effectiveness across multiple investment domains.

Key responsibilities

• Set priorities, objectives and supervise direct reports to achieve annual targets and compliance standards.
• Develop and implement a risk‑based internal audit plan for local real estate investments.
• Deliver high‑quality fieldwork, both integrated and targeted, across real estate, project management, and investment operations.
• Provide regular progress updates to Engagement Leads, raise significant findings, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Oversee observation‑closure validation and ensure adherence to technology audit standards and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with audit stakeholders to promote knowledge sharing and capability development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading internal audit teams, preferably within real estate or investment environments.
• Strong people‑management skills, including training, performance management, and talent development.
• Ability to design and execute risk‑based audit plans and to manage complex audit engagements.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with senior leadership.
