Healthcare Information Systems Implementation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Healthcare Information Systems Implementation Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will lead the deployment, configuration and optimisation of healthcare information systems, with a strong focus on Blood Bank Information Systems (BBIS), ensuring reliable performance and alignment with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business processes and stakeholder requirements to define system needs and implementation goals.
• Install, configure, test and deploy healthcare information systems, including BBIS.
• Ensure system compatibility, performance, security and data integrity throughout projects.
• Customise software solutions to meet clinical, operational and business requirements.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and end‑user training to facilitate system adoption.
• Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams, healthcare professionals and business stakeholders to improve workflows and optimise efficiency.
• Participate in data migration, system validation and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support project planning, implementation and post‑go‑live activities, including travel as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience implementing healthcare information systems such as HIS, LIS or BBIS.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel for project implementations and customer support.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025).
• Microsoft SQL Server.
• Oracle Database.
• Healthcare interoperability standards – HL7 and ASTM.
• Experience with Blood Bank Information Systems, preferably Hematos.
