IT Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join Marriott International’s hotel operations in Jeddah. The role involves providing technical support to staff and guests, maintaining the hotel’s IT infrastructure, and ensuring the security of data and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow company policies, protect assets and address guest service needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network and peripheral issues, escalating major problems to vendors when needed.
• Inspect, test, diagnose and maintain computer equipment, servers and network communications.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices and perform system backups.
• Support end‑users, manage user accounts, reset passwords and configure workstations, laptops, docking stations and printers.
• Upgrade hardware, software and website technical architecture and secure backup tapes and equipment rooms.
• Educate users on protecting personal identifiable information (PII) and perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant IT experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting of computer software, hardware and peripheral devices.
• Network support and server system maintenance.
• System backup and data security procedures.
• User account management and password reset.
• Workstation installation, configuration and modification.
• Reading technical manuals and conducting computer diagnostics.
