Judicial Assistant

About the role

The Judicial Assistant provides essential support to the judicial decision‑making process. Working under close supervision, the role involves researching, drafting, and tracking legal decisions while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Receive and analyse session minutes, determine operative parts of decisions, and draft decisions referencing judicial precedents.
• Present draft decisions to line manager and head of function, incorporate feedback, and register decisions accurately.
• Prepare letters and e‑applications for external stakeholders (e.g., travel bans, asset freezes, witness notices) and follow up on enforcement.
• Adhere to policies, processes and SOPs to maintain consistency and control.
• Assist junior team members, help resolve escalated issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies or equivalent.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong research, analysis and legal writing abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
