Laboratory Technician / Specialist

About the role

The Laboratory Technician / Specialist performs a range of laboratory tests and procedures that support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. Working under the Laboratory Director, the role ensures that test results are accurate, timely, and compliant with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures according to approved protocols and quality standards.
• Collect, process, label, and prepare patient specimens for analysis.
• Operate, maintain, and conduct basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Document test results accurately and maintain required laboratory records.
• Adhere to laboratory safety procedures, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
• Valid SCFHS classification and registration.
• 1‑3 years of experience in laboratory services or diagnostic testing; hospital experience preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
