Lead Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Designer to shape the visual and user experience of our digital‑asset custody platform serving the GCC market. Based in Riyadh, you will report to the Co‑founder/CTO and work closely with the Head of Product to create a cohesive brand and product experience across web, console, and developer interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Own brand stewardship, defining visual identity, tone, and application across web, sales material, regulator decks, and conference presence.
• Lead the design of the institutional console, partnering with Product and Engineering on approval flows, role‑based permissions, audit trails, and billing screens.
• Design the developer experience, including documentation site, sandbox console, API reference, integration tutorials, and code‑snippet patterns.
• Establish design operations, set quality standards, and build a small design team (1‑2 product designers and a brand‑focused designer) within 18 months.
• Source, interview, and hire additional designers, creating a Riyadh‑based design bench.
• Participate in the leadership team alongside Engineering, Product, and Compliance.

Required profile

• 6+ years of design practice with at least 2 years in a lead or design‑manager role delivering shipped product surfaces measured by customer metrics.
• Experience in B2B SaaS or fintech, having designed dashboards or consoles used daily by paying customers.
• Fluent in Arabic (native or working) and English, capable of selecting type, copy, and tone directly in Arabic.
• Portfolio demonstrating depth in at least two areas: brand identity, B2B product UI, or developer‑experience surfaces.
• Proven experience hiring and managing at least one designer directly.
