Lead Specialist, Engineering and Virtualization II

About the role

The Lead Specialist, Engineering and Virtualization II will design and deliver data virtualization and semantic‑layer solutions that enable secure, high‑performance access to enterprise data. The role supports production data services, ensuring they meet strict performance, security, and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design consumable data services aligned with enterprise models and definitions.
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for production data access services.
• Implement query optimization and caching strategies to improve response times.
• Manage access governance, auditing, and security controls for data services.
• Collaborate with BI, application, and governance teams to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Guide internal teams and vendors through technical leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in data engineering/integration with hands‑on delivery of virtualization or semantic‑layer solutions.
• Proven experience supporting production data access services with performance, security, and reliability requirements.
• Demonstrated ownership, collaboration, execution excellence, continuous improvement, and influence across teams.
