Lead System Engineer

About the role

Masdr is seeking a Lead System Engineer to own the administration, operation, and continuous improvement of its enterprise systems, identity platforms, digital workplace technologies, endpoint governance, and messaging security. The role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable services while establishing operational standards and technical foundations as the organization expands.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to infrastructure strategy by aligning systems, workplace technologies, and endpoint platforms with business, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure managed technologies comply with policies and frameworks such as NCA, SAMA, and ISO27001; support audits and remediation initiatives.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and performance of systems through proactive operations and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Network, and business teams; act as primary technical escalation point.
• Lead technical change activities while minimizing operational risk and business disruption.
• Directly administer and operate enterprise systems, establishing standards, documentation, and support processes.
• Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, authentication services, identity lifecycle management, and access governance controls.
• Manage Microsoft platforms including Windows Server, Exchange, and Microsoft 365, ensuring secure configurations, patching, and service availability.
• Oversee digital workplace technologies that support collaboration, productivity, and endpoint access.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading the administration and operation of enterprise systems and identity platforms.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as NCA, SAMA, and ISO27001.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Cloud, Security, Network, and business teams.
• Experience driving technical change while maintaining service stability.
