Logistics Section Head

About the role

Algihaz Holding is looking for a proactive Logistics Section Head to oversee the end‑to‑end movement of goods in Riyadh. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective transportation, customs clearance and delivery while aligning logistics plans with project schedules and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all logistics functions across transportation, customs clearance and freight forwarding.
• Supervise Logistics Supervisors and their teams, set objectives and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies that support project timelines and company objectives.
• Oversee shipment execution from freight booking to final site delivery, minimizing delays and demurrage.
• Pre‑qualify, negotiate and manage relationships with freight forwarders, clearance agents and transport providers.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate contracts and ensure budgets are optimized.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, warehouse and project teams to align logistics with material needs.
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, local customs regulations and internal policies.
• Review and approve logistics documentation for audit and project tracking.
• Act as escalation point for logistics issues, driving continuous improvement and reporting performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 8‑12 years of logistics experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Relevant certifications such as CSCP or CLTD are preferred.
• Saudi national preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, trade compliance and customs regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
