Materials Engineer – Laboratory & Site Supervision

About the role

The Materials Engineer will manage daily laboratory operations and oversee material testing on‑site, ensuring that all results are accurate, samples are valid, and projects comply with approved standards and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations to guarantee smooth functioning.
• Conduct material tests, validate sample reports and track material performance.
• Prepare detailed reports on test findings and material compliance.
• Verify that all materials meet approved standards, specifications and safety regulations.
• Implement and monitor on‑site quality control measures (QA/QC) and HSE compliance.
• Maintain thorough documentation of testing, monitoring and inspection activities.
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure material and work quality standards are met.
• Develop and apply region‑ and project‑specific procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or materials engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in materials engineering or a related field.
• Experience with MOT specifications and standards.
• Strong knowledge of materials engineering principles, laboratory procedures and acceptance criteria for various material types.
• Proven ability to supervise facilities, networks and on‑site teams.
• In‑depth understanding of project practices, standards, procedures and specifications.
