Mechanical Engineer – Mobile & Tablet Whole Device Assembly

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join MDSC ENG’s team in Riyadh. The role focuses on the complete device assembly of mobile phones and tablets, offering the chance to work on cutting‑edge technology in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for mobile and tablet devices using CAD software.
• Conduct prototype testing to verify functionality and durability.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, product managers and other cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Analyze and resolve engineering issues during manufacturing using root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality.
• Assist in creating assembly processes and documentation for manufacturing teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns on technical challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts.
• Willingness to mentor and share knowledge with less‑experienced colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Experience in mechanical component design for consumer electronics.
• Knowledge of prototype testing methods and equipment.
• Root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
