Media Relations Lead Specialist

About the role

The Media Relations Lead Specialist will design and execute ZATCA’s media strategy across traditional channels such as newspapers, magazines, radio, TV and billboards. The role ensures effective dissemination of information, protects the organization’s brand, and drives measurable media reach.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal assessments to identify media gaps and define requirements.
• Research best practices and develop media policies, strategies, implementation plans, calendars and budgets.
• Create detailed responses to media mentions in line with communication guidelines.
• Identify, evaluate and engage with local, regional and global media partners that align with ZATCA’s brand.
• Negotiate, purchase and monitor advertising space and airtime to secure cost‑effective media placements.
• Coordinate media appearances and interview preparation with the Spokesperson.
• Manage external communications for traditional channels, ensuring brand protection.
• Publish promotional and advertising material across all traditional media outlets.
• Monitor execution of the media strategy, collect reach metrics, produce periodic reports and recommend adjustments.

Required profile

• Experienced professional capable of working with general directions and handling escalated issues.
• Strong analytical ability to develop solutions to complex media challenges.
• Proven experience in media relations, media planning and media buying.
