Paymaster (Saudi National)

About the role

SLS The Red Sea, a lifestyle resort on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia, is looking for a Paymaster (Saudi National) to ensure its team is paid accurately, on time and in line with hotel policies and local regulations. Working closely with the Finance and People & Culture teams, the Paymaster manages payroll processing, verifies employee data, keeps accurate payroll records and supports month-end payroll operations while keeping sensitive information confidential.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and within set timelines.
• Calculate and verify salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions and other payroll adjustments.
• Review attendance, leave, sick leave and other payroll data before processing.
• Coordinate with People & Culture and department leaders so payroll inputs are complete and accurate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records and system data.
• Check new joiners, leavers, transfers, promotions and salary changes.
• Prepare payroll reports, summaries, reconciliations and supporting documentation for month-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi labor regulations, company policies and internal controls.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries promptly.
• Support Finance with payroll journal entries, accruals and reconciliations, and keep audit-ready documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Paymaster, Payroll Officer or similar role, preferably in hospitality.
• Familiarity with Saudi Labor Law and payroll requirements.
• Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Discretion with confidential employee and payroll information.
• Good communication and coordination skills, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of payroll processing, attendance, leave, overtime, deductions and employee benefits.
• Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with payroll or HR systems such as Oasys, SAP or Oracle is an advantage.
