Power Director – Energy Projects

About the role

The Power Director will lead the development, execution, and expansion of power generation and energy consultancy activities across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. This senior position supports Vision 2030, drives participation in IPP programs, and oversees thermal and hybrid power projects from feasibility to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s power sector strategy aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and regional energy transition goals.
• Identify, secure, and manage new IPP/IWPP, thermal, hybrid, and renewable power opportunities.
• Lead end‑to‑end tendering processes, including market soundings, RFQ/RFP preparation, bid engineering, risk analysis, and pricing strategies.
• Oversee full project lifecycle: feasibility studies, bankability assessments, planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (SE standards, Saudi codes) and international benchmarks while driving HSE, quality, and governance excellence.
• Promote operational and digital excellence through process improvement, KPI monitoring, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain strategic relationships with government authorities, utilities, private investors, and industry forums.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, foster talent development, and ensure alignment with Saudization objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in power generation project development, from feasibility to commissioning.
• Proven track record in bid management and commercial leadership for large‑scale IPP/IWPP projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Vision 2030 energy goals and GCC power market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with ministries, utilities, investors, and EPC contractors.
• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy teams.
