Project Manager - Power Reliability

About the role

ABB is hiring a Project Manager for its Power Reliability business line in Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Operations Manager - BL Excitation (AMEA). The role leads the execution of medium-sized projects, ensuring they follow ABB policy, cybersecurity regulations, contractual agreements, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team, set the execution approach and oversee planning, monitoring and control of internal and external resources
• Support sales and tendering early, and coordinate procurement of services, materials and equipment with Supply Chain Management
• Monitor progress, resource use, costs, invoicing and cash flow, and manage project risks and opportunities
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out and customer acknowledgment
• Manage stakeholder relations and act as escalation point for project issues
• Create project HSE plans and ensure compliance with HSE policies, including with partners and sub-suppliers
• Apply earned value methods to manage the critical path and schedule risks, and plan and track all project activities
• Plan document deliverables, track progress and follow up on overdue customer comments
• Ensure staff understand ABB's core values, code of conduct and safety and integrity standards, and coach and develop the team

Required profile

• Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, as Project Manager in oil & gas, utilities and other industrial markets
• PM certification such as PMP or equivalent from a large multinational
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian local regulations and standards is an advantage
