Safety & Quality Officer

About the role

The Safety & Quality Officer will lead and monitor safe working practices within ground operations, ensuring compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and minimizing operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee ramp operations and conduct safety & quality inspections.
• Manage incident and accident reporting, perform final reviews and investigations with the S&Q Manager.
• Analyze injury and damage trends, escalating significant safety issues.
• Monitor performance data, standardise SMS and ramp procedures, and deliver safety briefings and orientations.
• Periodically assess the operational environment, compare safety performance against objectives, and feed findings into risk management.
• Log and forward safety reports, liaise with authorities, airlines and subcontractors.
• Participate in airside safety committees, partner safety meetings and emergency response drills.
• Coach flight coordinators for airline audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in quality management, industrial engineering, safety management or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in aviation or airline operations.
• Prefer candidates residing inside KSA with iqama transfer capability.
• Relevant certifications in SMS, QMS and Root Cause Analysis.
