Senior Accountant – Luxury Resort (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Equinox Resort Amaala is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the finance function of its upcoming luxury resort, scheduled to open in 2026. The role will be pivotal in establishing robust financial processes and ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in line with company policies, international accounting standards and KSA regulatory requirements.
• Maintain the general ledger and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and resolve issues promptly.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.
• Ensure full compliance with ZATCA, VAT regulations and other KSA financial reporting obligations.
• Support tax filing preparation and submission within statutory deadlines.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, providing complete and accurate documentation.
• Monitor expenses, cost controls and financial performance to support operational efficiency.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or luxury services.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliation and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian tax laws, VAT and ZATCA requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KSA VAT regulations.
• Understanding of ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) compliance.
