Senior Finance & Accounting Manager – Saudi Operations

About the role

Yakan, an AI‑native fintech operating in the GCC, is seeking a hands‑on Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the finance function for its Saudi operations. You will be the single point of accountability for the integrity of the books, cash flow, tax compliance and management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day bookkeeping, either in‑house or with an outsourced firm, and ensure accurate, timely ledger entries.
• Design and maintain a chart of accounts, accounting policies and workflows for a trading and profit‑sharing business.
• Set up, configure and administer the accounting system (e.g., Zoho Books or NetSuite) including integrations and approval workflows.
• Maintain detailed records of asset cost bases, funding splits, holding periods and calculate profit‑share settlements on sale.
• Manage banking operations, initiate payments, perform bank reconciliations and support treasury administration.
• Implement maker‑checker controls for fund releases and maintain robust internal controls.
• Oversee VAT, Zakat and corporate tax registrations, filings and correspondence with ZATCA.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi VAT (15%), e‑invoicing (Fatoora), withholding tax and IFRS as endorsed by SOCPA.

Required profile

• Mid‑level finance professional with hands‑on experience in accounting for co‑ownership assets and profit‑sharing arrangements.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi accounting standards, IFRS, VAT, Zakat and ZATCA e‑invoicing requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage outsourced accounting partners.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on building reliable processes and controls from day one.
