Senior Mendix Developer

About the role

The Senior Mendix Developer will design, build, and maintain high‑quality Mendix applications that meet business objectives and adhere to software development standards. This role combines deep Mendix expertise with the ability to mentor junior developers, collaborate with stakeholders, and champion best practices throughout the low‑code application lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Mendix applications using best‑practice architecture and development patterns.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Mendix solutions, including complex domain models, microflows, nanoflows, and UI components.
• Build custom Java actions and integrate Mendix apps with external systems via REST, SOAP, OData, Kafka, databases, and identity providers (OIDC, Azure AD).
• Implement robust security models, performance optimisation, auditing, logging, and monitoring.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure documentation quality, and create reusable productised modules.
• Lead technical discussions, solution‑design workshops, sprint planning, and mentor junior/intermediate developers.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex Mendix applications in a senior capacity.
• Strong understanding of low‑code best practices, DevOps, BizDevOps, and SecDevOps principles.
• Excellent communication skills to work with product owners, business analysts, and architecture teams.
• Ability to lead technical discussions on security, networking, and integration topics.
