Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, bank relationships, and point‑of‑sale (POS) infrastructure. This role ensures accurate recording of daily financial transactions and supports the Treasury Management team with ad‑hoc tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with banks and complete required forms for the installation of POS (SPAN) machines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date data for all POS terminals.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for all company bank accounts.
• Follow up with banks to resolve incorrectly debited amounts or missing credits.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Department to address posting discrepancies identified in reconciliations.
• Post daily journal entries and other routine transactions.
• Confirm customer deposits in the company’s bank accounts.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by Treasury Management.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record‑keeping.
• Ability to liaise effectively with banks and internal departments.
• Proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and following up on pending items.
• Comfortable handling routine accounting transactions and documentation.
